802.1X Open Source Supplicant The first project sponsored under the OpenSEA umbrella is an open-source cross-platform 802.1X supplicant: the Open1X project. The Open1X XSupplicant has been available primarily on Linux for the last 6 years and was a project originally started at the University of Maryland. The development lead of this project is Chris Hessing of Identity Engines. The initial goals of the project include extending the operating system support of Xsupplicant to the Windows platform, as well as adding an easy-to-use cross-platform user-interface. Learn More! To learn more about the project and to contribute your skills, please visit the project page . Mailing Lists If you're interested in getting involved, a good way is to join the mailing lists for the project. We have a general list for users, where you can ask questions and get help, as well as one for developers interested in working with the rest of the community. If you're already an XSupplicant user and want to give us comments or submit enhancement or bugs , you're welcome to do so as well. Other Projects The OpenSEA alliance is open to proposal of other projects under the OpenSEA umbrella. If you believe you have a project that is aligned with our vision of securing the network edge through open standards, please contact us with the details.
